The Kitchen


This is my current project.
In the 70's, the most popular kitchen color was Harvest Gold.
Guess what!? It's all over my floor!!

The counter tops and backsplash in this kitchen are also gold.
It's soooooooooooo dark in here!


Stage 1


This is the wallpaper left by
the original owner.




Stage 2

I stripped the birdhouse wallpaper - it's now gone!
The walls have been painted white. I added a fruit motif
border paper and fruit motif curtains.



Stage 3

I just started Stage 3.

I painted the backsplash white (good-bye gold!)

I also painted the bottom part of the wall yellow
(to try to make it blend with that gold floor)









Left on the list to complete:

  • Paint the cabinet hardware black



    Then, maybe, the kitchen will be finished!!
