The Dining Room

This is the Dining Room. Although the existing wallpaper is in the "country" style
(birdhouses), the dominant color is.........BROWN! It has got to go!!

I just started ripping this stuff down (first week of August 2001). I'm hoping to have
this room finished by Christmas...can I do it??

The plan is to paint the top half of the walls white
and the bottom half dark green, with a cranberry colored chair rail.
For the window, I want to make a valance out of green and white striped duck cloth
that resembles an awning.
We currently have a sage green space carpet on the floor.

Of course, I haven't even started this project yet so
I AM open to suggestions. Where are all you country decorators?!
