I have adopted this "Bill of Rights", originally written by
my good friend
Alison
As Alison has, I too have noticed some prejudice within some groups on the internet.
I want to let others know that this site is open to anyone that wants to visit. I do not discriminate against anyone from visiting my site, sending me email, or leaving messages in my guest book. The internet is a portal to the entire world - I'm not going to stop anyone from entering it.
I will respect the rules set forth on pages that I visit and abide by them, I expect the same from the those that visit this page. My rules are as follows:
I will not honor profanity or nudity here, this is a family site that children will visit - don't leave this kind of trash in my guestbook.
I will not honor controversial political views/statements. Please do not use my guestbook as a vehicle to disseminate your views on subjects that may cause "arguements" or hurt feelings.
I will not discuss different religious beliefs. There are far too many religious beliefs in the world. I live in a very diverse community. On my street alone, five different religions are represented. I wouldn't want any of my neighbors to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable in my home - that goes the same here. Additionally, my husband continues to claim that he is a Greek Orthodox Druid and that he worships coffee tables......now would YOU know what to do with that?!
My own original graphics are free, I do not charge for them. You may use them anyway you like. I understand that sometimes they may need to be resized or be worked into some other kind of graphic (like a calling card, a gift tag, or a title banner) - that's OK with me. All I ask is that you do not claim them as your own. My "terms of use" are much looser than most - so please respect the rules of the sites that you visit.
If you adopt one of my cows, it's OK if you want to use it to decorate a page(s) - it doesn't need to be displayed on an adoption page.
The purpose of this site is to introduce myself and my family to other families and people around the world that enjoy visiting family sites on the net and learning new things about people, the places they live, the food they eat, and the things they enjoy about life.
I have made quite a few friends on the internet and I respect them all and everything about them (except the ones that worship the New York Yankees.........shhh, JUST KIDDING!!!! That comment was directed at Alison - she's knows I'm only kidding - she's been a great pal.)
Thank you taking the time to read this.
Kathy
If you respect diversity and all those wonderful things that make us all different and unique, please feel free to lift either of my "respect differences" graphics and post it on your website
